SteelPhalt operates a rigorous quality assurance system.

How we achieve high-quality standards:

During steel production, slag is tapped and segregated into usable asphalt slag
After cooling, material is stockpiled for partial weathering
Laboratory analysis for slag quality and suitability
Metal is removed and slag is crushed and sized into the correct aggregate grades
Slag aggregate is used in the manufacture of asphalt
The final product is checked for quality

We ensure that we meet our high standards of quality products and service.

Our extensive knowledge in the research and development of steel slag asphalts is utilized around the world with Harsco Environmental. We have worked very closely with our suppliers to design asphalts for specific applications which can be seen within our products range.
